The McDougall Creek Fire was a wildfire in the Okanagan region of British Columbia, Canada as part of the 2023 Canadian wildfires. It started near West Kelowna on August 15, 2023, and was discovered at 5:59 pm PDT. The wildfire forced the evacuation of West Kelowna and parts of Kelowna. Overall, at least 35,000 people were under evacuation orders and another 30,000 under evacuation alerts.
The wildfire was fueled by constant wind and extreme drought conditions.
